Tintin and Captain Haddock mural

The Tintin and Captain Haddock mural located at 37 rue de l’Étuve. The Adventures of Tintin written by Hergé is most certainly the most popular series of comic books that have ever came out of Belgium. The 23 albums written between 1929 and 1983 have sold over 200 million copies worldwide and been published in 50+ languages making it one of the most read of the 20th Century. The comic books feature the adventures of the Globetrotter reporter Tintin and his dog Snowy.

The Adventures of Tintin mural above is located on the street going from the Grand place to the Manneken pis statue.

It never ceases to amaze me how vertically oriented outdoor murals are. Everything I do is oriented in the other direction for indoors!
