The official Street Art itinerary expanded yet a little further again. In collaboration with Citydev.brussels and the non-profit organization Une Ville en Couleur, graffiti artist and painter Pablo Sozyone Gonzalez was asked to leave his mark on the 140 square meter wall of the old and decrepit building located at rue Francois Joseph Navez 178, 1000 Brussels.
Anyone taking the Van Praet bridge come from Laeken into Brussels is now greeted by this beautiful creation from Sozyone that brightens up an otherwise dull looking neighborhood.
“To us, urban art can be an efficient tool for revitalizing a neighborhood. Ultimately, our goal is for the frescoes to highlight the city’s cultural dynamics,”
Benjamin Cadranel, General Administrator of CityDev.
The project was also carried out in collaboration with the non-profit organization Une Ville en Couleur. The association works towards the development of contemporary art in Brussels. The goal of this association is to offer everyone the opportunity to access the world of art while embellishing the city.
